Talking Carl my new best friend!

I was just roaming the land of iTunes the other day when I came across this wonderus looking app called Talking Carl. I decided to buy it. When I opened the app on my iPhone I then said to myself quite loudly "Well this is shit!". And that's when it happened. The red square with eyes repeated what I said. It was a incredible moment for me. Truly incredible. I've had it on for the past 40 minutes now. I have it plugged into my dock (which is plugged into speakers) sitting next to my iMac. As I browse the web I say random words and Carl repeats them! E.g. "Holy flib flam!" Ray said randomly. "Holy flib flam!" Carl replied randomly!

Movie Review: Star Trek

Reading Twitter on the day of Star Trek was in cinemas was like walking into a swimming pool of horny dogs. You WILL get raped. I was flooded with many people's thoughts of the movie. All saying similar things; "Best movie of the year!", "AWESOME!" and "ZOMG JUS SOR STURR TRROOK! AMAAAAZIN!". I was put off watching it mainly because I have never watched a episode of Star Trek or know anything about the story line.

After reading some reviews, many of them mentioned how easy it is to get into the story for people new to Star Trek. And I can confirm that. I, being a person who have never watched a episode of Star Trek in my life, willing enjoyed the movie. Great action scenes, brilliant actors and a very well written story. If that's how a Star Trek virgin reacts to it, then I'd imagine a die hard Star Trek nut would of reacted like a tramp who just got given a mansion, sports car and a hot wife in exchange for his box.

Star Trek takes place before the first series. The Federation star ship USS Kelvin is investigating a lightning storm in space when a Romulan ship, the Narada, emerges from within it and attacks the Kelvin. Narada's captain, Nero, demands to meet with Captain Robau of the Kelvin. Aboard the Narada, Robau is questioned by Nero. When Robau professes no knowledge of the Vulcan Ambassador Spock and states the current stardate, Nero kills him and orders the Kelvin's destruction. Acting Captain George Kirk orders the ship evacuated onto shuttlecrafts, including his pregnant wife Winona, who is in labor. Kirk sacrifices himself to steer the Kelvin on a collision course into the Narada, and Winona agrees with George to name their son James moments before the ships collide. Nero is as obvious from the future as how obvious most of this paragraph was copied from Wikipedia, again I remind you I have no knowledge on Star Trek and I'm too lazy to put it in my own words.

According to Wikipedia, the death of Captain George Kirk wasn't true to story. Nero created a new time line.

Several years later, a young Spock grows up on Vulcan and is ridiculed for being half-human. As an adult, Spock declines to join the Vulcan Science Academy after his human heritage is referred to as a disadvantage, and instead joins Starfleet. On Earth, James Kirk has become a reckless but intelligent young man. After a bar fight, Kirk meets Captain Pike, who challenges him to emulate his father's heroism and join Starfleet, which he does.

Hopefully you survived the last paragraph with at least a basic understanding of the plot. As you can tell it's well written. Get a very good story, add a good cast, a few space ships, some CGI effects and you have yourself an awesome film!

Star Trek is a action-packed film with a good story. Both Star Trek fans and people who aren't will find Star Trek to be enjoyable. Truly one of the best films of the year, maybe even decade!

Merry Christmas!

Greetings blog readers! That's right, all 3 of you! It's that time of the year again! Christmas time, a time of giving, a time of love but more importantly the time of me getting presents. This year I got a iMac but I had to pay for 1/2 of it, and got a few DVDs and Blu Rays. Harry Potter, Transformers 2, Star Trek :P.

Anyway just wanted to send out a Christmas message to everyone today. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year (and Christmas video is going to be a bit late, Expect it around the 28th sorry!)

Dilly Dally Shilly Shally.

Just a random blog post here. Not on one subject. Just random stuff, that pops out of my head. I tidied my room today. I found my keys and my first iPhone case behind my sofa which both have been missing for a while. But my O2 £10 voucher which I bought yesterday has gone missing. Dayuuuummm.

I bought a bunch of GBA games the other day from Game station. All are in original packaging. Well not anymore, I had a go on all of them. Time for mini reviews!

Street Fighter Aphla 3 is very good. It's Street Fighter on the go! Whats not to like?! Well there's the PSP game, Street Fighter Aphla 3 Max, but SFA3 on the GBA is very good.

Sonic Advance 2 is very good. Like all other 2D Sonic games, I really like the level design, challenging bosses and fast awesome Gameplay.

Sonic Advance 3 is pretty much the same with more levels.

Metal Slug Advance. My first Metal Slug game. It's pretty fun. Mowing down enemies with a Machine gun is just pure fun. But I died so many times within playing the first 20 minute of this game.

I also got a Wii Gun to play Resident evil! The Nyko Perfect Shot. I saw a review of this by a old YouTube friend. It has been out in the US since 2007. I saw it in store and it jogged my memory back. Awesomesauceonaplate.

I've summed up 2 years and 27 days of my YouTube videos in a 1 minute montage with Beethoven's 9th symphony, Ode to Joy playing on top to create a massive Ray Ir0nisland Pancake Muffin Sandwich.

Beep-boop-chirpirp!

Well being a geek I have a massive love over the Star Wars series. Last night while making dinner, I switched on the TV as I put the chicken into the oven (Which tasted oh so good in the end!) The Return of the Jedi was on Channel 4. It was a good few years since the last time I saw it. I got a lot of nostalgia feelings going through my head.

Moving onto this morning. I woke up and noticed I have a £10 off voucher of anything from www.firebox.com. It's some gift website. I looked through most of it's stuff for sale and nothing really appealed to me besides a R2D2 USB Hub, well that and the Space Invaders Alarm Clock! The R2D2 USB Hub was £25. So when I use my voucher... £25 - £10 = £15! But first I wanted to find somesort of review of what it does. I found a video on YouTube. Basically you plug it in, then it makes non-stop noises for 30 secounds. This process repeats each time you plug in a USB device. I don't know about you but I WOULD FIND THAT ANNOYING!

I was about to give up, when I saw another video. This was a different R2D2 USB Hub. This one was a Japanese import! It's much cooler! It rotates it's head realiscally and beeps once when you plug something in! It's soo cool! And it lights up! The other one DOESN'T EVEN LIGHT UP! Although, being of much higher quality, and being a import from Japan, it's going to be around £45 plus P&P.

The human's need for moar!

Why must I keep wanting more more more! I'm never happy with what I have, I must always have more! If I've come to realisation that I'm never going to be permantly happy with what I have, then why do I still have the craving for more? As you can probably see, I've done a lot of improvements to the blog. New banner, new layout, new everything! It's a big improvement all round! I'm 100% happy with what I've spent my whole morning on but.. I WANT MORE! But since I've done everything possible that make me happy with what I have, it's impossible to have more. But I still want more... but I can't!

Why must I get this want for something that I'm not even to clear on what it is? I'm just going to leave my new layout alone for now, but what do you guys think of it? Leave a comment below ;)

Things that make me go grrr #2: Electric Shavers

Why must THEY HAVE THAT EVIL LITTLE 2 ROUND-HEADED POO BAH HEAD! So they don't fit in normal plugs! Newer houses apprantly have them built it in their Bathrooms but mine doesn't! So I need a adpator! But you know what? I lost that little adapter on the 2nd November. And since it was "No Shave November" I thought "No problem, I'll probably find it by December." But I HAVN'T o.o

Things that make me go grrr #1: Mobile Phones

You always see people using them, in the streets, in school, in the toilet.. umm not like I watch people in the toilet.. *shifty eyes*, but when it's that time, when you want to ask them something important like say, What's our media homework, not like that was the situration that I just went through, they're never anwser. There's nothing more EPIL FAIL than grabbing your phone, going onto contacts, picking the person's name, then waiting for it to connect, then you get welcomed by the charming woman who says "Welcome to O2 anwser phone, I'm sorry but the person you're calling is unable to anwser. Please leave your message after the tone *BEEP*". And thats the time when you just say "Fuck you, turn on your phone!".

Pfft The Human Brain.

I honestly can't be bothered with anything :/ . The only reason I'm blogging right now is because I can't be bothered waking up at 6:00 then preparing breakfast for my family then going to a day of school. And you want to know why my brain is telling me to behave this way. Because my PC is getting on my nerves! For some reason my brain is telling me "Everything is going to be alright once I get a iMac!" but in all honesty it probably won't! Maybe it will have a effect since I'll be in a happier mood but I was going to tidy the house today but I thought "nah, can't do it... computer's fucked!". And that was the excuse I said to my dad when he asked why I didn't clean up. It took until I actually said it to realise how WTFish I am at the moment. So conclusion: I'm pissed off all the time due to my computer is unable to do the things I want it to do, resulting in me behaving lazily, and it's been going on for quite a while now that my brain blames everything for it eg. Tony Hawks Ride turned out to be crap because of my computer!

Even though I realise what I'm going through now, I still can't be bothered. So the sooner I get a iMac, the sooner I'll feel better!

My Dream (8/11/2009)

Back with another WTF dream.
It started off with Me, Kit and some random Half Fox, Half Dragon, Half Doughnut thing.. (MATHS FAIL!) were just roaming around a airport. We got on a plane to Orlando Florida. And as I said before, transport time is nonexistence in my Dreams so we got there instantly. We then got into a random car with a picture of a Pikachu on it and drove to some Simpson's theme park and the entrance looked a lot like my house! So we walked through my kitchen and we found this Homer Doughnut ride. We got inside and sat in the rollar coaster chair things, and then a screen was infront of us and then a video starting to load on it. It was just some Crank Dat video edited on Windows Movie Maker. We got off the ride, or torture machine rather, and then went to this Arcade place. I played Virtua Tennis (EPIC) and at this moment Kit and the F.D.DT had fucked off somewhere, and I was alone. And every time you won a game on Virtua Tennis you win a water bottle with Anime pictures on it! And then suddenly I got off the arcade machine and it turned out it was a massive Anime store. And then I woke up right before I was going to buy something.

After I woke up I noticed my TV was on while I was sleeping. It was some Holiday guide thingy show. And after a few minutes it said "Call 05687653454687976543567654345 to plan your Holiday in Orlando Florida."
My guess is the TV waves intercepted my brain and transmitted that odd dream into my brain!!! Or I just heard it while sleeping...

Seriously... WHAT THE HALF FOX HALF DRAGON HALF DOUGHNUT THING IS WRONG WITH ME!!! O_O!

My Odd Dream 1

I had a dream last night and I'm just remembering it. It went a little like this. I was home. And for some odd reason there was a huge valve in my kitchen which measured I dunno... Global Warming! And it was really high. I looked outside and it was a blizzard. I saw a penguin in the snow. It was limping and had bullet holes and leaving a trail of blood in the snow. I watched him fall down and get covered in snow. My Dad came home and was completely blue and said we were going to a hotel. And apparently in dreams, travel is not necessary because we were there. It was a huge hotel. It had this theme of red with red rooms, red walls, red curtains and blue pillows. For some reason their was a Hitler Youth program at the hotel and everyone under the age of 40 had to take part. Being against racist and all the other Nazi ways I ran off into the snow and found myself a cave. The cave was infested with Star Trek fans so I fled. I got back to the hotel and my bags where at the bottom of the stairs. For some odd reason I had 16 or so bags. Luckily Chris Tarant and Kit was there and they helped. Kit carried 1 and so did I and Chris carried the rest with his mouth. And then I woke up. What the fuck is wrong with me?!

Are like the moriarty of Xbox owners that somehow forgot games are made for entertaining purposes and spend a massive amount of time attempting to pull of "amazing" stunts like Killing 200 Zombies with a Handgun or Take out a Seagull with a 1965 record, then you'll probably love this site now! On this Blog there are now 2 Xbox achievements. If you have only found one so far then keep trying. This one takes a little more skill and just a tad bit of patience but I'm sure that after a little while of pure hard work you'll be rewarded with a fabulous *DING DONG* sound effect.
